Well, that was...not a mature way to handle this situation I hope he gets some help for whatever substance problems he has, I'm not a Green Day fan but i'd hate to see him destroying his health.

Never seen make such a complete twat of themselves, and destroy some perfectly good gear in as little as 60 seconds. What a tool.

They should have just crammed their 45-minute-set into 25 minutes in true Ramones vein, and continue playing for another half hour anyway. That's punk rawk.

So unless you're a clean-cut sugar-spewing kid these days you clearly have drug problems? The music industry can screw itself, I'd be pissed at everything if I were Armstrong as well.

Well, duh...they didn't want to alienate their "punk" fans. Of course, calling Green Day punk is like calling Hendrix "Metal".

Regardless or whether or not the set was actually cut, I'd be rather pissed if it happened to me too. It's hard to say how I would react (definitely wouldn't have smashed an instrument because I'm not rich), but I wouldn't be surprised if a rant came out. Honestly, it just seems like everyone is more against/insulting of him because he's from Green Day.

Exactly! But the question isn't whether Punk fans will see through it. It's whether a pop punk sound will sell Green Day records...
