A really great lyricist once told me if you want to write powerful lyrics, find a common thing everyone talks about, like love, break ups, and find a new way to say it. I travel a lot, and I was thinking about that old saying, you'll never be missed if you don't go away. Might turn this into a verse or something. Feedback is good.

You just get used to being in transit.
The carry on baggage. The endless Atlantic.
Leaving my soul on a luggage rack
where my internal clock is set nine hours back.
There's baggage I left in Brooklyn heights
cause of limited space on a redeye flight.
My handbags stashed. My guitar detuned.
But the distance apart brings me closer to you.
