Just about to buy a custom wah pedal...

Hey there!

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a custom wah I found on Ebay...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Custom-ha...#ht_1635wt_1271

Before I do, I thought I would ask around here and see what everyone thinks. It's a bid dodgy as you obviously can't try one in the shops as it's custom.

What do you guys think though... Look good?

it looks like he is running pretty premium parts. the ICAR pot, the fulltone inductor. it looks pretty nice.

Sounds great, I try to go for these types of wahs....I dont think anything available on the retail market sounds that good. The only thing I reccommend to people is modding their wahs like this!

Lack of adjustment kills it for me. Gotta have at least a Q adjustment, imo.

have you looked at the Fulltone clyde deluxe? RMC of form or a wizard wah. you can do a lot with them.

Price is too high. Work doesn't look too bad but you'll never get your money back should you sell it.

Yeah I was thinking that...

I really dig the fulltone's, but the standard costs around 190 new and the deluxe around 220. I've been waiting for a used one to come up one Ebay or my local classifieds, but none have popped up yet.

So I was thinking I could snap this one up for around 120, I could maybe get him own on the price a bit further...

Maybe I'll just wait for a fulltone.

i paid $85 for the clyde standard shipped to my door from a guy on TGP. i don't know how your market is, but look used.

search around on the classifieds on the forum as well as TGP RT HC, etc. and IMO there are so few reasons to buy a pedal new, they go cheaper used and they sell fast if you don't like them and typically if you don't like something maybe you are out 10% or just on shipping.
