Best DI boxes between amp and speaker?
i am looking for a good DI box. At the moment i' ve found Hughes and kettner red box classic. but it has a cab simulation.
http://www.hughes-and-kettner.com/products.php5?id=110 is there a possibility to turn off the cab simulator in red box? i plan to use my amp with cab impulses. my amp is marshall dsl 401 combo.. |

Then you just need something with a line out, yes? Honestly, this will get the job done: https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/lpld.htm

Why do you need a DI box, then?
Just run the preamp out/effects send directly into your interface and load an impulse on it.

Behringer Ultra-G is a good DI for inserting between the amp and speaker. It has a 4x12 cab sim that can be turned on or off.

i think that this is something different, it' s meant to work as a load if you don' t have a speaker cabinet. |

Unless it was recorded with a neutral, solid state power amp, an impulse is a response of both the cabinet and power amp of a setup. If you really need something that will go between the cab and head, though - The Countryman Type 85 is about as good as it's gonna get, without spending a small fortune on the Avalon U5.
