Hey guys,

I'm still learning about amps,eqs etc....anyways I've got a vypyr 30 and play a Schecter damien 6 with custom EMG 81/85 Zakk Wylde Active pick ups installed. Now I know that the pickups are hot, but I'm wondering if they're too hot for the vypyr 30? I can never be satisfied with the tone, no matter how hard I try...any eq settings you guys suggest? pre and post gain range?

The answer to the one answerable question you asked is yes, they will be fine.

How would I suggest you EQ settings without knowing what sound you're going for? Even if you did tell me, I'd still be telling you how to get that sound with my guitar, my pedalboard, and my amp... Is that really going to be helpful for you?
