I'm looking for a good pedal to get some better john mayer tones, I'm currently using a Laney cub 10 amp, and a fender american strat with texas specials. I'm open to used items and my budget is around $75, I would like for the pedal to have reverb in it, any suggestions?

So you're looking for a reverb pedal?
Or a multi-fx? I doubt a stand-alone reverb will make you sound more John Mayer-y.

I'm not sure if I'm looking for a reverb pedal, or a overdrive pedal (ts9) I just need something that could help my little laney get a better mayer tone

I don't know if which kind of sound you're talking about (reverb/od), but he mostly uses two-rock amps (so don't even dream about a JM tone), with a moderate amount of od. I'd say something like a Ibanez - TS9 or a BOSS BD-2 if you're looking for an od pedal.

for the solo on the tune you posted he is using a delay with some modulation to get that sound. you'll probably have to go more than $75 to get a delay that does that. you mightalso want to invest in an EQ pedal to give your amp greater tonal flexibility and perhaps a tubescreamer or similar pedal. keep in mind that you can only do so much on a small budget and john uses some pretty expensive gear.

Hmm well I guess I'm just looking for a better overdrive blues sound, i.e. clapton/hendrix/mayer lol
