D'Addario D'Train Sweepstakes

Who entered this contest? I had a couple of instant wins - a set of guitar strings, and a Planet Waves Chordmaster Tuner Metronome. About a week and a half ago, I got an email from their web rep. I am the Grand Prize winner in the sweeps. I'm getting a Line6 Variax JTV-59, a JamHub Tour Bus rehearsal studio, got to pick $500 in D'Addario/Planet Waves products, and $500 cash. I'm stoked!!! As far as the products, I'm getting some straps, polish, cords, and, of course, a TON of strings. I won't need strings for 10 years, maybe longer. I'm crazy excited, feel like a kid on Christmas Eve! Can't wait to play with my new toys.

Who else won some stuff?

Damn dude that's awesome! I didn't win anything in that, but one time I was absolutely hammered at a bar that was doing a 90's alternative cover band show and somehow entered into a raffle and won a bag full of gift certificates, records of local musicians, t shirts and a bunch of other random stuff. Then I went and got a cheeseburger at an all night diner it was cool.

Wasn't D'Addario the first singer in Iron Maiden?

That was Pink Floyd. He played bass too.

Nothing like that has ever happened to me, and isn't likely to, however... Amazon sent me a ten pack of heavy-light D'Addario strings the other week.. when I'd only ordered and paid for 1....

How unfortunate.

I don't see how it would be damaging. I got called C-dog for a number of years despite not being a dog. I turned out alright.
