which pedals to buy?

im looking to buy some pedals ive narrowed it down but still not quite sure. my guitar is a kramer striker 600st going through a laney p20. im also going to buy the slash octave fuzz box. my favourite guitar player is slash and favourite bands are slash featuring myles kennedy and the conspirators, guns n roses, velvet revolver, alter bridge, buckcherry. im
trying to get a good hard rock sound. so which ones should i buy?
dunlop slash cry baby sw95 or dunlop slash cry baby sc95
mxr carbon copy or boss dd3 delay or boss dd7
mxr phase 90 (block) or mxr phase 90 (script) or mxr phase 90 van halen
and also what distortion or overdrive would be good for the bands i listed? ive being thinking mxr zakk wylde overdrive, mxr distortion plus and mxr badass 78 but suggestions will help.

My picks...
DD-7
MXR Phase 90 Van Halen (Gives you both the script and block options).
The MXR 78 seems to have some good reviews, but I haven't tried one myself.

As for the wah, you are gonna have to try some out.

Modeling amps typically don't work well with pedals but I'll still give you suggestions.

I have one, and it's flavored more towards classic Marshall (1959/Major/JTM45) style crunch, instead of the smoother JCM800 tone that Slash is known for.

I say:
SC-95 (the built in distortion on the SW has the easy potential to sound bad)
DD-7
Van Halen Phase
and depending on your budget, a JHS Pedals Angry Charlie for distortion.

What is your total budget for all these pedals? Will you be running your amp dirty and pushing it with an overdrive for higher gain? Or using the pedal as the basis of your distortion on a clean amp?

i dont have a budget it just depends on how i want to spend. on my amp is usually run it with only a little bit of distortion so it would mainly be to push it but i would sometimes use it on a clean channel so i need something that can work for both

Then the Angry Charlie would be a fine choice.

But it won't sound that good through your current amp.

Those aren't the only wahs you should consider. There are bunches on the market, and even if you like Slash's tone, his wah might not be the right one for you. Which models can you try out?

I'd say get a JCM800 combo and then work from there towards the sound you want. The amp is the basis of your sound. Your best bet is to get the amp that's closest to the sound you want and then use pedals to get that tiny bit extra. Don't rely on pedals for all your tone.

save yourself some money and buy used. i have gotten almost all of my pedals over forums or eBay, most at around or just over 50% of what they costed new.

look into fulltone or RMC for amazing wah pedals. i have a fulltone clyde standard for like $80 shipped off of TGP.

i think for these pedals im going to get new. later on i might get some second hand ones. because i live in Australia it would be way cheaper to buy from the states but than you have to mess around with all the power conversters and stuff like that
