I've always wanted to go to this, but I heard that there have been ground collapses. I may risk burning to death.

Ah? I'll be in New York for 4 days or so, can you recommend any places that I can take day trips to nature-wise?

^^ Yea, the Northeast is really nice this time of year, and you can get to a lot of places fairly quickly. At least compared to any other part of the US. I mean, I can be in Philly, New York, Pittsburg, DC, Baltimore, and Boston in all under six hours. There's a ton of stuff to do. Quote:
It's pretty cool. Nothing spectacularly fun, but it's just so creepy and stuff. ![]() Last edited by WCPhils : 10-02-2012 at 11:28 AM. |

If he had more time I'd tell him to go do some outdoors stuff in les cantons de l'est. Some of the freshest, least populated areas in Canada. Gorgeous nature, and lots of old history over there, lots old history has been sitting there untouched. Shit I just thought of this, TS if you go to Quebec city, you should check out les plaines d'abraham. Not to mention the Vieux Quebec, which is ****ing neat. It's also like the oldest walled city north of mexico or something. |

In montreal you go go check out the MT,royal park. IT'S a huge natural park( made by the same guy who made the NY park) located on a little mountain. You can go hiking there and once up top look down on beautiful montreal like you were god. Also near Quebec city you could go visit the montmorency Falls which are truly stunning. If you need some rec on what to do in montreal I can help! |

Nice, I didn't realise there were places like these within the cities themselves. So Plains of Abraham, Mount Royal and Montmorency Falls? I'll definitely look into giving them a visit

Not to keep bumping but also visit lennoxville. BIG ass college party town, 90% of the people there are students that have been there for almost 10 years and they get shit faced drunk every night just don't walk on the sidewalk with an open beer, walk on the grass/the pavement is lava.

i don`t think there are any flights that do Quebec city to New York. You`d have to fly from the Trudeau airport in Montreal

Downtown anything is a shithole. The only excuse for people to live downtown is either because you live in NYC where there probably are no suburbs or you just can't afford it so you have to live in sub-standard downtown. Also, any downtown area pretty much ****ing sucks. At least for me. Traffic all over the god damn place, pay for parking, walk around everywhere instead, ****ing always smells like trash and diesel and there's people everywhere. That's just downtown, if you live there and complain about it, then you deserve it. Also, Vanier in Ottawa is where the crackheads are. The larger part of Vanier, not the tiny secluded normal part of Vanier which houses sane people that are not on crack and that don't run escort services from their 300$ a month apartments. |

Vanier is pretty bad but that's almost a cliche. Caldwell is horrible too and so is Britannia.
