Post Creative stump

I've been writing new material for my band, I have 5 1/2 maybe 6 ideas that are taking off. I don't want to leave anything out that could sound cool, I have a Zoom gfx3 multi effects pedal that I'm using. I am posting this asking for any cool sounds I could utilize by mixing some of the effects together. Any suggestions could help me get out of this rut.

No effects.

Get two digitec whammys and use them both at the same time.

How are we supposed to give you serious suggestions when we haven't heard what you're playing or trying to accomplish? Almost every one of those effects can add to a song when appropriate, that's what they're there, but we can't tell what's appropriate when you haven't even given us a genre.

What were you expecting us to say?

"Use the chorus effect?"

"Make a song with echo on it?"

Help us help you.

the classics are always limitless options (flanger phaser, etc).

delays never go out of style, and creativity is more in the user than the effect....like the edge of U2. dude fills out a whole band with a friggin delay pedal and some creative riffage.

wah never goes out of style.

but if i wanted to noodle around with some crazy sounds, i personally would like to mess with a pitch shift, ring modulator. heavy term can have a dramatic effect too especially with distortion.

Don't just pile on different fx and techniques because you can. Sometimes keeping things simple is the best way. Concentrate on writing solid music. All the fancy effects in the world can't make up for crappy songs.
