Another Day, Another Tune [wip] (Technical/Melodic Death Metal) gp5/4/midi c4c

So the song I wrote over the last couple of days (some kind of nonsense) ended up being kind of weird, and I sat down with that in mind for this song.

Has a later-era Gorguts vibe with the major thirds and the high strings, but overall I'd like to think it's relatively original. Then again, it's probably a Suffocation clone in structure . Big ol' WIP as well, so expect on-the-fly transitions for now. Overdub might be used for a solo, who knows?

Enjoy. c4c as always.

EDIT: One step closer to finishing. Probably going to end on a stupid flashy solo, but I've been learning Hour of Penance tunes and my fingers are fucked.

This kind of reminds me of an inverted Man Must Die: instead of being Melodeath with the occasional slam, it's brutal death with the occasional catchy melodic riff. I dig this alot, and might review this later lolz. if you're not planning to record this with your band, you should totally find another to record it lolz.

Yeah, very Obscura-era influenced, but also with a more traditional 90's death metal sort or riff style. The melodic bits are 'okay', but are fairly bland to be honest. Kind as if Cattle Decapitation weren't trying very hard. But the rest is pretty alright, may need a few riff variations here and there.

Updated. Supposed to be a bit noisy/doomy by the end, and I'm contemplating recording this one since I've got some ideas for sick samples over those riffs (a la Infester).

edit: that last harmonized bit is certainly not staying, by the way...

Ending would sound good when recorded. Still feel that the main chorus melody is a bit flat. Gives the impression of a lack of root note, or having the same unchanging note that doesn't do much.

But yes, records nao.
