Theres a right to freedom of speech, but theres a time and place for some things. Religion being one. Not everyone on that train is a devout christian, and they shouldn't have to listen to one mans opinion. Especially when they have no way of leaving. Yes they can put in headphones, but why should they have to?. Some of those people ride that train everyday, why should they have to accommodate some stranger who might never preach on that train again?.

now that i think about it, i'd rather listen to a crazy guy preach bible nonsense on the subway for 20 minutes than having to deal with mr one man band wailing away in the middle of the station for 2.
or the kid i had to listen to talking loudly on his phone the entire PATH train ride from NY to Newark going on about how he couldn't wear a shirt anymore because his girlfriend wore it and sprayed another man's cologne on it and he can't go around smelling like another man.

I find it incredibly annoying. Granted, we don't have subways here, but it's just as bad as the "street" preachers that always seem to be drawn to college campuses. It's kinda different because the audience isn't "captive" but still, it's ridiculous that whenever I walk through the middle of campus I have to listen to some dude screaming at the top of his lungs about why we're all wrong and that we're all sinners and all this other bullshit. And all that ever ends up happening is a crow d of people gathers to make fun of them or just to be a part of whatever is going on.
