Speculative as ****, but frightening as hell.

IF.

That's lol worthy. We all know they most likely have all the fuel ready to go, as they have for a while now. It's fairly obvious once you do the research. Now the real question is if we have intelligence agencies who know about it. That's the real wonder. Because it would be awfully smart for, let's say the CIA, to know that Iran has nuclear weapons (or basically have the cannon fodder with the barrel and ball sitting together waiting for action) and let Iran essentially commit suicide by using said nuclear weapon(s).

Think of it, if Iran uses a nuke, they kill however many millions (nukes usually have an effective blast radius of an average city) and then they face the wrath of a massive global shitstorm until there is total eradication and annihilation of Iran. It would be much more than a perfectly golden excuse to invade/bomb the living and dead shit out of them if they were to use a nuke. I'm seriously betting they already got a few nukes lined up just for shits or mainly in spite of other countries like Russia and the U.S. who have had them stockpiled starting from the 50s and 60s. But it's a much different scenario if they are currently producing them as we speak, which I think most people would agree, is almost certain. The doubt can be only be eliminated once we see the actual donkey dick missiles poking out of the silos. And usually by that time it's a little late.

I think there's two options possibly at play here:

The current viewpoint: We have all this info and intel that points to them producing unnecessarily high purities and amounts of uranium fit for weapons, not to mention the production process is massively huge compared to what's needed for power generation and also not to mention it's bizarrely different than what you would expect for the purpose of power generation.

The other option: The first viewpoint remains, EXCEPT you (being the CIA and all) have confirmation, with 100% certainty, that weapons are being produced, or that detonation cores are being built/designed or missile parts are being manufactured (etc...) and you let them use it so they can invoke endless amounts of revenge on themselves from opposing countries. It's the perfect excuse. They bomb Turkey, they try to bomb Israel, they try and launch one at the states (which would end up getting shot out of the sky right over their heads) or whatever country they believe is all evil to them or zionist and whatnot, and they give literally anyone and everyone the golden opportunity to turn that place into the Moon's surface.

The whole idea that Iran would just start nuking other states is so batshit ******ed I don't even know how to respond to people dumb enough to believe that idiocy.

I think the whole Iran getting nukes thing isnt about Iran wanting to nuke anyone, rather just a deterrent. That way, they can turn up the heat on Israel and fund revolutionaries/terrorists in an attempt to shape the region as it sees fit without any significant backlash.

Well, this thread has taught me two things...

1) The Syrian situation is getting even closer to war.

2) There is a surprising number of people on here who have no idea what is going on in the world... it's as though some people haven't looked at a newspaper or caught 5mins of the news for the last 18 months or so.

If there's one thing I've learned from this thread, it's UG isn't nearly as aware of what's going on in the world as I thought they were.

It's the same everywhere man. In developed cultures like ours society is kept stable and docile through distraction, and by sending the fit, disenfranchised young men overseas at war. It's a large part of why America is so belligerent, showbiz, commercialisation and sport mad. Capitalism is maintained by the false promise of hope so TV showers us with success stories which give us aspirations of matching them - maybe one day if we work hard our son could be the NFL quarterback that nails the 4th quarter Hail Mary, or we can be the next John Dyson or Jim Marshall. Whether it's intentional or not society has tends to breed a class of people we're told to aspire to be and we're saturated with imagery which glorifies it.

Either that or I've been reading too much Chomsky.

While I don't believe that the corporations are necessarily super evil people who sit around and think "supres masses, obama wuz dolan turmp all long", I think societies naturally develop mechanisms which exist to keep docile the restless masses. Police enforce the law, while the media enforces the ideas the press owners want enforced. Things like sport are common throughout history with differing significance and roles in society, but it's always existed. That says to me it's about more than simple competition.

But, again, it's maybe a bit late in the day to get into this and I haven't really thought too far into this, I'm still fuzzing around.
