if you are getting a bugera, i'd get from somewhere with a decent warranty- thomann is 3 years. DV247 (do they stock bugera?
) has a 4 year warranty.

I think at gear4music you can get a 5 year warranty for 25 quid! But is the Peavey Valve King any good?

i wouldn't pay extra for it, kind of thing. both dv and thomann do the extra warranty (granted, not 5 years, but not far off) for free.
the VK is alright. it's a budget option, though- and in the UK, it's not *that* cheap, not to mention there are other EU/UK options which aren't much more which are way better (e.g. traynor ycv50b on thomann, jet cities on thomann, etc.)

Go used on the amp, can get it for far less and could get something far better than the new equivalent price.
