That guitar is so drowned out by the backing track, poor example of amp tone. You want a good sound get a good 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet... 6505 combos suck. Anyways my Bugera 6262 has shit the bed and switches channels on it's own now.... I'd stay away. I've had it 3 years and warranty is up. I think it's a 10 dollar fix though (voltage regulator heatsinks). But still i'll never buy another bugera. I love the sound but am very sad it's broken.... I don't know what to replace it with maybe a 6505 but i dunno... Sucks when you are really happy with a piece of gear and it fails. ![]() |

^ guitar tone in that vid became more clear as the song went on but I agree otherwise.
I think you can get that guitar tone with a Vypyr 60/120. I don't think the 6505 combos suck that much. The 212s are a pita to carry though. Sorry to hear about your Bugera. I know you've been a strong supporter of them for a long time and usually jumped in to defend them. I respect you for coming clean on it and dealing with reality but it does suck when your gear fails. ![]() ![]()

I think i can fix it, i'm gonna do a thing with pics to help other poor souls who need brootlz on a budget. It still sounds great just switches off the lead channel to the clean by itself and acts pissy when you attempt to switch it back. My marshall dsl100 did me dirty too, haven't looked at a marshall since. ![]()

TS, glad to hear you got a good one! I love the vypyr tubes I have played, sweet amps. FWIW I love my 6505+ combo, but I also get to play with the volume knob around 4 (the sweet spot IMO) so that definitely helps to get the nut-knocking tone, I think that for what you are aiming to do the Vypyr tube was the clear choice.

I think you did the right thing, I love my 6505+ but never use it for practicing, it's way too loud. I save it for playing live, where it belongs.
