Help with ghost and dead notes

Hey guys, I've only played classical style guitar before, I would consider myself just entering intermediate stage (ish) and am interested in playing many sungha jung's songs.

Problem is, all of his songs involve ghost and dead notes. I'm used to just straight up plucking, no effects like these. I know what they are, eg ghost notes = no plucking just pressing note, and dead note is muting strings for a "beat" effect.

For dead notes, I can only do them when I don't have to pluck a string and perform a dead note on other strings at the same time.

For ghost notes, I don't know how to do them to get enough "oomph" so that it actually affects the music.
