The Search for Seven!

I'm looking for a 7 string.

Now, I'd prefer it to be >25.5" (so no the Ibby RG7321, although that's a last resort).

I've been looking at the Ibanez RGD7321 (which is similar to its RG sister, but with a 26.5" scale) and the Schecter Damien Elite (also with 26.5" scale, the Omen series angers me. Tried it out and did not like it at all).

Are there any other for around the same price ($500ish) that could be taken into consideration? (I could custom an Agile, but their wait list is to May )

Honestly, this is for Christmas, so used guitar prices could fluctuate between now an then.

Also, would not like a trem.

Why a custom agile? Why not just one of the regular agiles?

RGD is a great guitar, but the pick ups aren't super good, but the rest is awsome

Cause the ones they have regular are more expensive than they'd be custom, or have trems.

And I know the Ibanez pickups are lacking. They can always be replaced with ease

Watch out for an Ibanez RG7421XL, the baritone version of the 7421 (duh?). I lucked out and scored it for less than $500.

For a bit more, the LTD SC607B, with active EMG 81s, is another baritone.

Aw man. Never heard of the RG7421XL, and the SC 607B is out of budget. But they're still killer...
