Problems choosing a 2x12

Sorry to make another 2x12 thread, but it's a pretty specific request.
I want to be able to play a Blackstar HT100 through it, at high volumes without blowing the speakers. I'd love a Harley Benton G212 Vintage, it's great quality for the price and sounds good too. The problem is, I'm not sure that 120watts is enough to handle a 100watt tube amp. If it is, then this can be solved right now, but if not I need some pointers.
I play hard rock with high gain, and low crunchy gain and I venture into the clean territory.
It'd be great if it was around the 200 mark.
I'd like to buy one new, I don't like buying older speakers, I don't trust the sellers on the condition of their speakers.
Thanks in advance!

I know tube amps are more powerful the SS, but even so I don't see why you would have any problems running a 100W tube head through a 120W cab.

For one, you will NEVER run a 100W tube head at max volume! If you do, I pray for your soul, as you bleed from you ears, and possibly rupture internal organs.

celestions generally have the rep of being pretty conservatively-rated. It'll *probably* be ok (though don't quote me on that, and do it at your own risk, kind of thing).

v30s wouldn't be my choice for lower gain tones and cleaner tones, though. "hard rock with high gain" will sound good, though.

you could always swap one of the speakers, though- put a g12t75 in there and you've got a pretty nice combo that's pretty versatile, and which probably has nicer cleans than the v30s alone (and you could always sell the spare v30 to recoup some of your costs).

other alternative is to just get an unloaded cab and put your own choice of speakers in there.

Cheers everyone, I'll look into the alternative speakers. But yeah, it's much appreciated!

just to point out- if you like the v30s, there's no need to swap them. I think i'm addicted to swapping them, so bear that in mind

if you think you like v30s, get the cab first and see what it's like before forking out any more money.

I like my V30's for cleans.
My Mesa has never been maxed out, but my 212 V30 cab held up fine with the Mesa at about 7.5/10.
