non-pick user...strings?

Hi there,

any good strings advice for a non-pick user?

I play a strat and tele...I've been playing 20 years and used a pick up until about 5 years ago...now I seem to be unable to get on with one! Probably from playing too much acoustic...

Depends on preference: thick, thin, metals, brands, coated, etc.? And tuning can matter as well!

Something with a pure nickel wrap seems best suited. They're a bit easier on the fingers and slightly more nuanced dynamically. DR Pure blues are a good example.

I just play in standard tuning...but use a capo quite a bit too...

So far I've usually used daddario exp 11's but never that happy with them...

Also tried prosteels and chromes and various ernie ball slinkys but not great for my style either...

I shall definitely give the dr blues a go tho, thanks for that

I use a pick most of the time, but for some songs do finger picking on my electrics. I find regular electric strings work just fine. I usually use GHS Boomers 10-52.
