Eat less, if you already eat a good diet. Go running everyday. If you do all that and you're still gaining weight, you should probably go for a check up at the doctor.

Also, I ****ing love the song Cod Metal King. EEyyaaa, eeeeyyaaaa.

I can't really relate because I weigh 9st and I'm about 5'10".

I wish I was a little bit taller I wish I was a baller.

You can have a lot of internal fat harming your organs and not have a big belly or double chin.

Yeah but if you don't look fat, chances are your weight will be derived from muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat. Y'dig?

I get you, I was just responding to his assurance that you needn't worry as long as you don't flabby, as you could still be unhealthy and have too much fat on you without it being visible. Trust me, I saw it on a thing on BBC4, and BBC4 doesn't lie.

Agreed. I'm 5'7 180lb, which is about a point away from being obese, but I don't look it

Work out the approximate amount of calories you need to eat, in order to effectively 'break even' each day. Then take up to 500 calories off that, and keep up your current lifestyle with maybe heightened excercise if you can fit it into your daily regime. If you think you can handle changing your diet sufficiently, try cutting your protein intake down (you mentioned you eat low carbs anyway) and obviously monitor the levels of fat you consume if you aren't already.

The main school of thought behind this is that extreme diets, or changes to your typical diet, rarely work because people starve themselves at first, so they see major weight loss through decreased water retention. Then they start to feel drained and weaker, thus becoming less active, reducing the effect of a lower caloric intake, and their metabolism can begin to slow down a little to adapt to this new lifestyle (obviously that is a longer-term effect, rather than an immediate one) so over time their body may start to return towards the equilibrium it had before.

As far as I'm aware, shocks to the system tend to force the body to adapt rapidly to continue as it was in these situations - a more controlled change to the lifestyle and only 'under-eating' by a more moderate amount can increase the changes of sustained weight loss and a healthier weight loss, while also reducing the loss of healthy weight (i.e muscle and fluid).

Edit: And as said by others, if you're particularly concerned about your weight and health - see your doctor and get some general checks done. BMI alone is not a great indicator. I'm 5'10 (a little under but close enough to round up ) and roughly 68kg - gives me a BMI of 21.51 on the NHS website's calculator. What does that say about me? It alleges I'm in the green (good) band (18.5-25 BMI), slightly above the optimum amount. But in reality, I'm very skinnny - I just happen to have enough muscle to balance it out to seem normal weight wise; the main reason I work out is to bulk up a little and not look so thin, as I struggle to put on weight with my fast metabolism, and don't like looking mal-nourished as I naturally appear

6' 5"? Whoa dude, you're a big unit.

I'm gonna go out on a limb, and assume you are "techincally" nearly obese according to that height:weight ratio chart. All I have to say is, f*ck that sh*t!

Whats your ideal weight supposed to be? In terms of the height:weight ratio chart thing? I'd say its no big deal

Yep, good call; use that (or something similar) TS, if you're unsure how to work out your recommended daily intake, and a breakdown of what ratio the fats, protein, carbs etc. should be.

I don't know the ideal weight, but my dad was in decent-ish shape when I was younger (wouldn't wanna guess his weight now though, haha) and at just under 6'4 I think he was around 15 1/2 stone.
