Maybe this will get a better response than in the Chat thread, I would be much obliged of your assistance;
I'm locked out of my phone (HTC One V), forgot the password and it's asking me my Google account login details, I've never used gMail but on Youtube and Google and stuff I'm signed in with my hotmail email but that isn't working here. The wifi wasn't even switched on on my phone so I dont know how/if it's actually checking the login details. And I've tried to do a factory reset but can't. Wat do?

MOTOROLA ATRIX ![]() 1. Motorola Atrix can not be rooted using any operating system. The operating systems which are compatible and ready to root Atrix include: Windows Vista and Windows 7 Debian Lenny, Sid, Squeeze and Experimental Ubuntu Jaunty, Hardy, Karmic, Maverick and Lucid You should have one of these operating systems. In case you do not have one, you will need Mono v1.2.6 for Linux and Mac. in case you have Windows XP, you will need .NET framework 2.0 You will need a USB connection between the PC and Motorola Atrix. Download and install Motorola Media Link on your computer. Make sure you download and install the Media Link for your computer OS. install all needed USB drivers for your device. The basic requirement. Download: SUPERONECLICK Now, after getting all the requirements, take the following steps: Place your Motorola Atrix into debugging mode, for this, follow this root, Menu~Settings~Applications~Development~Enable USB Debugging Connect your device to the computer using a USB cable, make sure you have not mounted your phones SD card Run the Super One Click program simply click the root button in super One Click Now you will have to reboot your device, but before rebooting, click Allow Non-Market Apps After completing this procedure, your Atrix would be successfully rooted

Doesn't work, all that does is (soft) resets it.
