Here's a better question - If God is all-forgiving, why can't God forgive Lucifer?

As God, the angels can preform what we call miracles. Lucifer was the highest angel, so there's your explanation.

OK. I like you're style. so if angels can perform miricals, how do we know, then, that it's not actually Satan answering our prayers? He's the sneakiest most horrible son of a bitch isn't he? You see what I'm saying?

How do we know its not just satan "answering" "our Prayers"

That's just a thought i have. I would love to hear some people's thoughts about it.

Don't be a smart-ass.

God, Satan, talking snakes, miracles, answered prayers: they're all just voices in people's heads.

Why would something evil want to give you joy? And then not even let you know it was him?

This thread is preposterous.

I'm not a Satanist, I just love to play on the fact that everyone gets so offended by it.

I liked Anne Rices story of the devil that once was an angel who critizised gods plan of evolution and got banned to earth/hell. God gave him the task to help the lost and confused souls of the dead to accept what happened and get into heaven.

So god and satan is just the same breed :p

I'm against religions but some stories about all that crap are pretty cool

"inteliigence of responses"

God is pretty lazy. The Universe is just a game of The Sims that God got bored of 13 billion years ago.

Problem.

The snake in the story of Adam and Eve isn't Satan.
In imagery it's always depicted as a typical serpent, but in the the story, when he tempts Eve with the 'forbidden fruit' he is considered as "more wise than any beast of the field" and actualy has legs. Eve blames the serpent for seducing her to disobedience ("The serpent beguiled me and I ate"). God then curses the serpent which was also considered as "above all animals," causing it to lose its legs and be hated by the human race.

At the time, Satan was still supposedly working for God. In the Book of Job, which comes much later in the whole Biblical story of humanity, Satan (or 'Ha-Satan' as he was then called, which means "the opposer") is depicted as a member of the divine 'Council of El'/'Sons of God', who are depicted as subservient to God. At the beginning of the book, Job is a good person "who feared God and turned away from evil" (Job 1:1), and has therefore been rewarded by God. When the Divine Council meets, God informs Ha-Satan about Job's blameless, morally upright character. Ha-Satan points out that God has given Job everything that a man could want, so of course Job would be loyal to God, but Ha-Satan says that if all Job has been given, even his health, were to be taken away from him, his faith in God would collapse. God therefore grants ha-Satan the chance to test Job. Due to this, it has been interpreted that Ha-Satan is under God's control and cannot act without God's permission.

The confusion comes from Satan's role when he was an agent of God, he was charged by God to tempt humans and to report back to God all who go against God's decrees. The serpent also 'tempts' Eve but we know that they are different entities because God punishes the snake for tempting Eve, which he obviously wouldn't do if it was just Satan doing what God had ordered him to do.

Also, sorry for being a smart ass.

Yep, then God claimed him as his own, thus the Christian Religion is based on the son of Satan's teachings.

He's a bit like Loki from Thor.

And the burning bush? That's pretty sinister.

Sorry Christians.

"intelligent" and "beliefs" don't belong in the same sentence.

So I take it you don't 'believe' in 'intelligence' then?
