Tone Knob Pedal

So basically I had this idea to turn my tone knob into a pedal. Reason being I like to have that rolled off tone sound for little parts in my songs to thicken things up but couldn't roll the tone knob off quickly and so I decided to make a pedal. Now some of you might remember my old thread about this which you can view

Here

But between there and now I never got around to purchasing parts and such and pretty much forgot all about it. But I've put my mind to it and its happening.

One problem. I decided I wanted to throw and LED in it to show me when the pedal is on and off... Will that require a power source? I believe it will and how would I wire that up?
