Shadow Cell - Groove/Thrash/Progressive Metal - Athens, Ohio, USA
We're a 5-piece (Vocals, 2 guitarists, bassist, drummer) originating in Athens (we met at college at Ohio University) and we play Groove/Thrash Metal similar to Machine Head, Lazarus A.D., Pantera, etc. with Progressive influences mixed in as well. We're actively gigging, although mostly in the Athens and Columbus area at the moment, with hopes of soon expanding to Cincinnati, Marietta, and Parkersburg.

Our Demo consists of our first four songs, but we have written 3 songs since then (two of them are a pair, similar to The Hellion/Electric Eye by Judas Priest) and we're working on finishing another, which may be done this weekend. We also do a few covers, with our most popular being a version of N.I.B. by Black Sabbath that we made our own and kinda "renamed" N.I.T. (Nativity In Thrash). If you have any questions, comments, critiques, suggestions, thoughts, pointers, likes, dislikes, etc., feel free to voice them! We're pretty open to everything and enjoy feedback of all types. I'll be doing my best to keep this updated.

Hey guys, just an update here, we'll be playing a few gigs coming up. On October 26th we'll be playing at the Smiling Skull Saloon in Athens and on October 28th we're playing at the Newport in Columbus, Ohio on campus at OSU with Mushroomhead!

You know all those genres you claim to be...
Yeah I don't hear any of them in your music. Where's the progressive-ness maaaaayng. And the groove for that matter? Honestly I think this still needs a lot of work. I could do a more indepth critique if you want... but I'm really fuqing flu-ey right now so that might not be a good idea.
