I don't normally, but im about to right now due to the fact that the lotto has maxed on its winnings amount (50mil) and added 25 addition chances of winning 1 million. yeah, not gonna happen, but hey  do you?

Occasionally, I play the bingo scrath off's when I got time to kill waiting for something, worst case scerio I lose 2 dollars killing 20 minutes waiting for a train or something.

No because:
-The chances are so small it's not a smart investment. pretty much guaranteed to loose. -It redistributes wealth, taking from everyone and giving it to a few. -It reinforces the attitude that you aren't happy with what you have, i.e. reinforces a lack of contentment. -Often the worst affected people group of gabbling are the poorest. - There is one guaranteed winner, the lottery.

My dad did it his entire life. It just becomes normal routine: "It's Thursday. Today after work I have to take in the trash, get dinner, and buy a lottery ticket." I think the appeal of the lottery depends on what type of environment you come from. And seriously, its 1 dollar. Most of you aren't even old enough to buy one, UG.
