Question about this wiring diagram?
All the connections here that are shown as "ground" http://www.dimarzio.com/sites/defau...tv1t_3w_all.pdf
Does this mean that I take all the wires shown as ground and solder them to the ground wire in my guitar and just leave them there? |

But can it be done by just soldering all the wires together then covering them with tape? On the diagram it doesn't show them soldered to the back of the pots. Will it make a difference?

soldering them all together and covering them with tape is a bit of a bodge- the pots need to be earthed anyway. the earth symbol just means they all go to a common place yes, but there are proper ways to do things.
this should give you an idea http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/5989/33915460.png

And furthermore, that common earthing place should also be connected to the bridge. On a fixed bridge this will usually be a wire that's clamped under it. On a tremolo system it will probably be the spring claw. This is because the bridge is in contact with the strings and the strings are usually in contact with you. You are standing on the ground (mostly) so the earth is complete.

Yeah I just don't know enough about how this stuff works. I know how to wire it up but, don't know much about how it actually works. So since the volume pot is push/pull this means I solder all wire's meant for ground to the back of the tone pot instead? and solder the ground wire in there with them?

Pretty much, yes. Assuming the "ground wire" you're referring to is the one connected to the bridge.
And they don't all have to be connected to the back of the same pot, as long as the backs of the pots are connected. Any pot will do. Even though your volume has a push-pull switch attached to it there will be a metal casing that can be used as part of the earth circuit.
