80s Ibanez Rebuild

A friend and I rebuild his Floyd Rose HSH Ibanez. It's been destroyed, but we decided to have fun with it.

I have to admit, that is pretty damn sweet. What did you paint the purple in with?

Thanks for the positive feedback! We wanted to airbrush the purple in, but didn't have everything we needed at the time, so we just settled for a purple paint marker at an arts and crafts store. The rest was done with spray paint and a lacquer from a can.

We're going to wet-sand everything to smooth it out and give it that glossy coat, but are working on other projects at the moment.

Will that marker hold up to being sanded? or did you put a clear over it?

The paint marker is going to be a lot thinner of a layer than the black paint, so it will be proned to vanish easier than actual paint, but with a the clear coat, we are only wet-sanding and polishing to make the finish more glossy and smoother than rippled, hoping not to sand through the clear coat.
