wiring a humbucker and single coil?????????
Hi Guys
Ive got a gfs lil killer humbucker 15k, and a gfs NEO7 neodymium single coil. i want to wire these to 1 volume pot, 1 tone pot and a 3 way toggle switch, has anyone got any wiring diagrams? Thanks Joe |

The wire colors aren't necessarily correct, but that diagram will do what you want.

Ok, but which ground wire are you talking about? All the ground wires should go to the back of the volume pot.

Thats the ground wire from the bridge. Its what grounds the bridge and strings. Assuming your guitar has a trem of some type the ground wire from the bridge will be soldered to the trem claw.

is this the part that the springs attatch to on the trem, also how would i wire it to the toggle switch because the diagram only shows you how to wire it to a selector switch not a toggle

one more question, does it matter if i use 500k or 250k pots?

I'd use 500k. 250k will probably be too dark for the humbucker. If you use 500k the single coil might be too bright, but you can just dial the tone back on it.
Your preference though, if you do 500k and don't like it, its not hard to change. Pots are cheap.
