I'm guessing that you want it to be wired like this:
Master Volume Master Tone 5-way switch 1)Neck 2)Neck+Bridge 3)Bridge 4)Neck+Bridge 5)Neck ??? |

The ground goes to the casing on the pots. All other grounded leads, like the ground for the pickups, go to the casing of the pot as well. Also, I don't think the switch wiring in that diagram will work for a 5-way switch. |

Use the diagram sheldonpardy posted, but substitute the switch in the diagram with the one I drew up. |

Also, I'm assuming you used the pickup with the yellow lead for the neck. If not, then switch it around.
edit: NVM, I labeled it wrong in the pic. Just follow the colors and you should be ok. Last edited by W4RP1G : 10-16-2012 at 08:32 PM. |

Im still confused as to where the grounds go, like the ones that are meant for the bridge casing. Sorry, I'm new to wiring. But thank you for all the help!!

All grounds are connected. Typically the casings for the pots are connected together and then to the output jack ground, then all other grounds are grounded to them. |

![]() Ok, that's should do. The little gray circles are solder joints just to avoid confusion. |

You're welcome!
Red is the hot lead, green is the ground. |

That's a very vague description of the problem. What's it doing?
That diagram I drew up is sure to work. Double check everything. Remember, all the green and black wires on that diagram are going to the casing on the pots, and the pot casings are connected. The only other thing it could be is a different kind of switch. I drew the diagram with the import style switch. Could also be a bad switch. I've had a few of those import switches go bad on me, though they were 3-way switches. |
