Newbie help

I have a fender squire and a 15g front man amp. I've been learning the chords bit it's getting rather dull and I was wondering what kind of songs I am able to cover with my currrent equipment. Also what tunning/amp settings I need.

you dont need any fancy equipment to start learning songs. Just grab your guitar and start playing. If you've learned alot of the major chords start searching for some music that you like and that sounds simple to play. Alot of popular songs are good beginner songs to start with.

Let Her Cry - Hootie and the Blowfish
Free Fallin' - Tom Petty
Knockin' on Heaven's Door - Bob Dylan or Guns n Roses
Wonderwall - Oasis
Earth Angel

I remember one of the first songs i ever learned was Enter Sandman. Its a good mix of picking practice and a bit of power chords
