Although a rendering of Kthulu would also suffice.
And I'm just gonna say that I am not a fan of the Rhoad's body style in general, although the idea of flipping it so that the long horn is on the bottom is intriguing.

The pentagram is very try-hard. I'm all about being a non-conformist, but a metalhead with a pentagram on a V shaped guitar is conforming pretty well to the image that many people see in their minds. I've laughed at punks for the same reason for years because they act like they are the ultimate non-comformists, yet they put so much effort into the typical punk look and rave about the typical punk bands.

You wanna be a non-conformist? Don't do anything according to some sort of standard. And if you want to piss off some Christians, don't resort to petty mockery, that does nothing. Rather, learn as many strong, anti-religion philosophies as you can, and then debate them. And make it your mission to remove Christianity from society. Get involved in atheist organizations. Oppose issues that allow religion to affect the laws and government. Vote for things like gay rights and keeping religious teaching away from schools.

Basically, if you insult them or mock their religion, they will likely blow you off and move on. If you do something through political activism, they won't be able to ignore you(or at least, not if you're successful).

FWIW, I'm a straight, lifelong, practicing Roman Catholic...and I vote for gay rights and keeping religion out of public schools. I also believe in evolution, a 4.5 billion year old Earth that happens to be round, quarks, and all kinds of crazy things...and I'm not the only one.

God is love, right?

I have a sneaking suspicion that the biblical admonitions against homosexuality are more likely the words of men rather than the Word of God.

I know it's almost unheard of for a Catholic to read the Bible, but I do...and with a critical eye. (Something I learned from Cistercian Monks, go figure.)

If you read The Good Book carefully, you'll find more than one passage that sounds like men are hiding behind a façade of the divine to justify their own prejudices or uninformed beliefs, like a warped version of the Wizard of Oz.

Besides, we are a nation of the laws of man, not a nation of laws of God. Even if I believe something is wrong for religious reasons, I also believe that the laws of our nation need to be fairly drafted to accommodate the beliefs of others, which means justifying a prohibition on the grounds of faith is insufficient grounds to support a secular law.

TS, to be fair, you're giving us some pretty poorly done MS paint renditions of what you want the guitars to look like. That's not anything on you, it's just the limitations of the program. I'd recommend taking a good look around GB&C in addition to just browsing custom shop websites to get some more ideas, because on here you're just going to get "Yeah that looks cool" or "It doesn't really look that great" or something in between.

Dude. MS Paint is irrelevant to this. I'm using Photoshop.

Okay guys. I'm back (And not starting a new thread about this because I got a warning)
I've got a new design. Based on the Gibson V but with different dimensions and a reversed Explorer neck. I like it more than my previous ideas but I want to ask what people think.

Edit: Oh, and by the way don't complain about the 'dildo' neck or 'cockstock'. I already have the neck and there'll be no changes!

How is the really any different than this:

http://bcrich.com/models/guitars-an...V-NJ-Deluxe/205

Checking the specs, it has the same pickups (in the same places), body, everything, except the headstock points the other way.

I mean, if you want to build your own guitar from the ground up, that's cool. Go for it.

But if you're trying for an "original design" not even close...

I'm not really trying for an 'original design' :P
I just wanna have my own custom.
Differences:
More rounded
No floyd
Silver hardware

You're seriously using photoshop?

On a serious note: Just buy a new guitar, or have one custom built buy a luthier in your area.
Do whatever is most cost efficient and what makes you happy.

You're essentially asking for advice no one can help you with.
