You'd have to dig pretty deep into the barrel to find a less reliable amp than a Bugera. The JCA's seem fairly well built, especially for the price.
As for tone they are quite different amps. I suggest that you go try both. Personally I'd take a JCA100 any day but I like Soldano type stuff. That's a matter of taste though. The Bugeras sound pretty good but I wouldn't take one on the road.

play both and decide for yourself. I have a 333 and I like the clean and crunch ch's, but the lead ch is pretty crappy and I have retubed it with JJ's, EHX, Mesa preamp tubes and it is still not that good. The crunch ch is really nice though.
The JCA100 is a budget Soldano Hot Rod Avenger w/ a clean ch. I like the tones, but it deff is much better with a tube swap.

Dude at least list some bands you like. High gain could be dark or bright.
Need a little more help.

311, can that be a new GGnA go-to response? I used something similar earlier, I dig it.

i will add to it im looking for a hard rock to metal tone.
I tried the bugera and really loved the tone however yhe problems with reliability slightly worry me. If i get the bugera it will be brand new with 3 year warranty if i get the jet city it will be used with a 3 month warranty they are both the same price |

i haven't tried bugera, but the reliability worries me, too.
i have a jet city 50 watt head- i'd point out that it's not really a clean channel, more a crunch channel. if that's important. are you in europe? thomann has pretty good prices on the jet city stuff (though they're out of stock of the heads) if you are.

JCA by far. The Bugera will burn your house down.
Get a new set of tubes to go with it though. Jet City is notorious for having inconsistent tubes.

The 333xl has amazing tones(I used to own one); however of you're looking for a bfmv and machine head tone I would say neither and get a 5150 or 6505.
The 333xl sounds more british with the ultra saturated gain and looser bass. It doesn't have that "chunk" or low mids or whatever u call it and super tight bass that a peavey has. I only got to play on a jca 50 for about an hour and same thing, it sounded awesome, but didn't seem like it could do the brootalz, more like hard 80s rock stuff. If your dead set on that price range style def go for the peaveys. Or if your feeling lucky go for a bugera 6262. I LOVE mine, and had no problems, but others have had some reliability issues

Maybe I was..... but I'm just sayin a peavey will nail the tone he's looking for better obviously since both bands he mentioned use one (:

And just to clarify too, if I had to choose between the two I would definately go for the jet city (:
