Redbears are so good.

What does your rig look like now.

I have a marshal cab with some random celstions, and I bought a ht-50 for 200 bucks from this guy I know so I couldn't pass up that deal at the time. My friend is letting me use his jcm800 for the band we are in and I love that beast. Makes my bad cab sound decent.

Is eBay the only good place to find redbears? What's your rig?

Good rig though.
Budda Superdrive 30 2x12. Traynor Super Twin 15 2x15 loaded with EV-SROs. Shitty old Line 6 4x12 with celestions.
I'm getting a new cab and head though Monday, most likely. If I like it. hahaha. Hopefully I like it more than the Budda. haha

Niceeee. Super jealous. I've been wanting a Redbear so I could make the emblem on the front say Karebear for so long...

Haha, thanks. It sounds so much better now that I have my SHO clone. Gives my amp so much balls. It's ridiculous.

I'm more into sludge rock/metal than straight up doom, but you get the point.

I had an LOL moment about a month ago and took a photo to remember it...

I prefer to let the bass handle the bass because that's kinda the point of having a bass.

some_dude_2. I'm more into sludgier stuff than straight doom as well. I can get down on it though.

I also really love doom rigs. Think I'm getting rid of my Budda tomorrow for some stuff. And I ordered an amp yesterday. We'll see how everything turns out.

Neurosis had a new album out within the last year, I believe. I've been listening to them hardcore for the past few weeks, as well as a few other bands via Meteor City Records (sick doom and sludge label).

My friend has turned the college run "metal radio station" into a doom and stoner sludgefest! You name it, there's a good chance it's been played.

I don't know how active it is, but St. Vitus + OM + Neurosis =

(can't figure out how to attach videos...) EDIT: Guess it did it itself...

And in other news, Scott Kelly is touring with Wino on some project called "Corrections House". They're stopping in NOLA in the next couple of months, so I may have to stop by and check it out.

Also, local Louisiana band Thou is worth a listen (my friend found them via radio research):

Pretty sure there was another doom thread someplace too...http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/foru...66#post28515466

Some Gothic Doomz for the thread.

Could anyone tell me with the right set up, could my Laney AOR 100 get tones kinda like these?

Cheers!

I'm sure the AOR could pull that off man. Experiment with some drives and tubes to find a good base sound. Those AORs are capable of a lot of super gnarly tone.

played a RedBear at this little music shop yesterday with a Wolfgang in C standard... what's funny is that it was literally a day after I read about them in this thread and it just pops up in the shop!
