I play in a quasi progressive rock band that has heavy and bright parts along with lots of clean mellow parts

So basically I need that nice meaty chunk (not deathcore chunk levels) along with fluidy clear cleans.


I was a SC250 pickups in my PRS Custom 24 (through an uberschall) and have the original 58/08's and was thinking about keeping the SC250 bridge pickup in but replacing the neck SC250 with the 58/08 for more fluidy sounds.

thoughts? or would you guys recommend other pickups? I was also thinking about swapping the SC250 for bareknuckles (but damn they are expensive!).



I've already had to tweak the amp EQ and slap a MXR 10 band in order to take some of the sterility out of the clean channel.
