Some new bands...?

Hello, oh mighty folks of the UG.

As the title says, I'm looking for some new bands to listen. Until few months ago I've been all into that TRO0e BW00TAL BlAcK †DeatH† *f...ing* METAL - thing, but I have recently heard some Eloy and Grobschnitt-kind of krautrock/prog stuff and I realized that calmer music suits me better.
So I'm not asking for bands in any specific genre, I would prefer more some "quazi-experimental" (I just invented the word) stuff like RHCP, Radiohead or Pearl Jam... That kind of rock that you can listen for hours without getting bored...
...if you understand what I mean, please help me. I really need some new bands to listen to.
Thanks everyone in advance

Note-I'm not a fan of stanic/black metal either. I know that Maynard Keenan (singer of Tool, APC) is an outspoken non-christian, but I think the absolute quality of all of his music outweighs any and all lyrical themes that I may or may not agree with. I have no idea where Anathema, In the Silence, or Karnivool stand on Christianity.
Check out some bands like:
A Perfect Circle

Anathema

Karnivool

Tool

In the Silence

I actually liked that song, im not really into metal with all that growling and screaming so it was cool hearing that style of singing. But yeah if i judged them by the way they looked i would have never given them a chance.
