I'll find links later but I know Spraynard put out an album last year that you could download for free.. They're like a pop-punk/indie sounding group with great songs on that record.. Plus the cover has a dude in a gnarly sweater holding a kitten so yeah..
Also, I'm 70% sure that I downloaded the Barrakuda McMurder discography off of bandcamp for free.. It's essentially The Steinways with a bit more anger.

Modern Baseball - Tears Over Beers is one of my favourite songs from this year, and it's free!
Brave Bird - Emo, the download link is in the discription. Thanks For Nothing Records have a few cool local hardcore bands. Tigers Jaw - Indie/emoish or whatever. There's only one song, but it's a good one. Gnarwolves - Really good pop-punk. Bangers - More pop-punk. Struggletown Records - More cool local bands, a lot of them are free.
