Eh, let him enjoy the music he likes. It's all opinion. As far as technique goes, most dethcore guitar players are self taught, a lot of times without any assistance from another person. He wanted a crit for his cover, not to be put down for his taste in music.

Anyways, as far as the cover goes, a bit sloppy, but you were trying to put on a show, so it's understandable. Good job overall.

I enjoy the band too, and have personally covered 'Escape' from the Zombie EP.

EDIT: I 'spose I should comment on the singing as well. A bit flat here and there, but pretty good considering you're playing at the same time as singing. Great job!
