GOTR90

I have been playing guitar for a little under a year now very consistently. However, I chose to mainly focus on learning songs and picking up the finer details along the way. Well I've gotten bored of just learning different songs, I want to understand theory and actually know what I'm doing when I play. So my question to all of you is where should I start? scales? theory? I'm willing to try anything
