Mental numbness
(for lack of a better term)
Maybe it's my messed up sleeping pattern, but for the past few weeks I've been feeling like I'm half asleep all the time. I can't concentrate on anything. I spend half an hour trying to read one page but none of it sinks in. I can't seem to get anything done and I just wanna stay in bed all day. I know the Pit isn't a doctor, but it's a goldmine of bad advice. Does anyone know what to do about this?

Try sleeping more, obviously.
Either that or plenty of orange juice. It's like the Tropica commercial where everyone is all groggy but then they drink orange juice and they have a Tropica morning.

I'm no expert on this but it tends to get worse from this point onwards...

I get plenty of sleep, just not always at the right time. Sometimes I come home at 5 and go straight to bed cos I'm struggling to stay awake. I end up waking up at 4 AM.

It happens to me a lot at school. I can't stay awake, my mind wanders off, and I eventually wake up and wonder how long I've been out.
I'm sure it's not a lack of sleep as I get about 6 to 7 hours every night. |

Try and fix your sleep schedule.
As mentioned, start meditating. Watch what you eat, maybe there could be dietary issues. Do more/Less drugs (idk what side of that you are on) Make fapping a regular part of you day.

Try sleeping at the right time maybe. Somewhere between 9 and 11. That might help.

Eat more fruit, don't eat 90% of stuff that's available, exercise, meditate, burn your tv, get 7-8 hours a night (at the right time), stop being a little bitch.

Sounds sort of like derealization. If you're having trouble finding the exact words to describe how you feel, or if you feel almost like you are dreaming it probably is derealization.

I'm kind of oblivious to stress right now. There are things that I should be doing, but I'm avoiding thinking about them. Thanks for the advice so far.

Depersonalization, and/or Psychosis. That's my guess, I'm going on my 4th day of stress induced cotton brain. It's temporary, try not to think about, and even if it was permanent worrying won't help. But unless you have some sort of mental disorder it'll last maybe a little over a week. For me it goes away just as fast as it came, the only really bad part about this feeling is during the weekish it lasts, I'll have a couple panic attacks. I abuse pharmaceuticals, alcohol, drenched in stress, general anxiety disorder, don't exercise enough, don't have a sleep schedule. So it's no surprise I get this way about 1/5 weeks. My doctor told me to take 1 mg of kolonipin a day, which is a lot like xanex, same family of drug.
