Umm make new friends? Isn't that the whole point of going to parties in the first place? Some of you guys are talking as if parties are more like a chore then fun...the whole point of going is to let loose, have some drinks, meet new people, and have fun. It's really not that hard to do.

Just wanted to bump this thread because last night I had a similar situation to the OP. Went into the party only knowing the host, so I was kinda nervous. Ended up meeting a lot of new people and having a great time.
