Playing guitar has gotten really hard lately.
Whenever I play guitar, it feels like a workout. The concentration, the necessary speed and dexterity. I can still do it, but even doing the same stuff I can already do feels hard. But in other general health I'm in the best shape of my life so far. What's going on? Does this just happen? I'm only seventeen years old, and I haven't been adding more complex playing, it's just gotten harder.

Try slowing down by 10 or 20BPM for a few days then gradually building the speed back up. Should help.

As stated above, taking a break can help. One day off can do miracles.
Other then that.. Everybody will get in a rut from time to time, it's probably the most frustrating thing that can happen. The only cure is to keep playing. Just a question, how long have you been playing ?

Simplify it down a bit? Also I used to find if I sang and played, I focused on guitar a lot less and rhythm playing became completely comfortable and natural. It still is. Just hang in there and ride it out, it will get better.
