Glastonbury 2013

Ultimate Guitar seems to be the only website not mentioning it, so who went? Who was your favourite etc. I've definitely got the post Glastonbury blues being back at work it was so good personal highlight obviously has to be seeing The Rolling Stones alongside a lot of drink and drugs what a weekend.

To me, Glastonbury is the most unappealing music festival...ever.

I was there. It was pretty awesome. The Hives were great, as was Billy Bragg, Arctic Monkeys and so many others. A band people should look up: Half Moon Run, they were amazing for such an unknown band.

Glastonbury is one of the best festivals, if anything for the weird crap that happens there.

I too watched monkeys on the stream. I saw them in Sweden a week early but I have to see the Glaston set was pretty epic.

So many bands were there that I would have loved to have seen. Then again there were so many schedule conflicts that not going probably saved me some heartbreak. Oh well.

Man, yes. Full Circle is amazing. And the rest of the debut.

I watched a bit of it on TV. I thought the Stones were kinda shit, although I'm usually a fan.

Arctic Monkeys were really good. I enjoyed Mumford & Sons too, although I'm aware a lot of people think they're proper boring and shit. Also Public Enemy were decent.

I watched 20 mins of the Stones and turned it off. I love the Stones normally, but they started with there Disco song and then went into a rendition of Midnight Rambler that lasted far too long. Barring Jagger and the studio musicians everyone looked like they didn't want to be there.

To be fair, that was mid way through the set as they only showed the last half of the set on tv. They played Paint It Black, Gimme Shelter and Street Fighting Man each after the other i think at the beginning.

Loads of the 'main bands' at glastonbury basically suck, it would be interesting to go to for all the other smaller stages though, that said, the stones were awesome, and the bad seeds were doing a lot better than recently even in regards to the bland new album stuff.

There was a thread for this about a week ago, but yeah, i am wasn't really fussed for Glastonbury this year. Some of the acts looked pretty good, but most of them looked fairly average. I don't like the idea of having to hand over a lot of money before you even know what you are getting.

Brits, looking at that line-up got me wondering. Brits, Do you people rate Stornoway at all? Or is it just some band that's there but no one knows or cares about?

Wondering because I really like them.

It's shit if you know nothing about music and/or don't appreciate music in all of its forms.

Narrow mind, narrow life.

I've got their album, it's a'ight. Better than the damned Mumfords in any regard.
