Akala - Developed my political thought in a more applicable way rather than theoretical

Neil deGrasse Tyson - Affirmed how ridiculously insignificant we are, but that that in itself is what gives us worth

Marxism - No particular thinker here, but the philosophy is the foundation of my world view

Dad - Consistently teaches me things about history/politics/economics much more accurately and more in depth than anything else.

Bro, you just quoted the definition of free markets: "Likewise the problems of free markets were not to be solved by increased regulation of those markets, but by increased freedom in them: "To widen the market may frequently be agreeable enough to the interest of the public; but to narrow the competition must always be against it."

I don't have the mental capacity to read books on politics and philosophy, so the only thing I can do to make myself appear interesting is to quote crude jokes and pass them off as my own. It appeals to a very limited demographic.

I never said he wasn't a capitalist, just that he didn't care for it that much. I quoted an article saying he wasn't because I don't have a handy list of anticapitalist quotes by him, but Adam Smith was more complicated in his beliefs than "FREE MARKET YAY".

Jesus, Slavoj Zizek, Terry Eagleton, John Terry, Kierkegaard, St Augustine, Karl Marx, Noam Chomsky, Voltaire, Martin Luther, Martin Luther King.

I like to think I have a wide range of influences, although I haven't stopped reading/searching, so next year these could all be completely different.

No capitalizations; improper use of punctuation; implies that internet language differs from real language.

I know. He advocated government involvement in education (and healthcare?) among other things. However, I believe that people misquote him regarding some statements that he attributed to the influence of special interests under a mercantilist system.
Anyways, enough about Adam Smith, I don't want to the discussion to degenerate into capitalism bashing/sucking up.

You're using the semi-colon incorrectly; those aren't sentences.

There's no need to use semi-colons in that list because the items in the list do not include commas, therefore commas should be used to separate each item.
