Just the other day some guy came up to us at the super market and begged for money. He was a consistent bastard too. First he came up and complemented my mom and started asking if she went to church. Then when waiting in line he asked the crackheads in front of us if they could use his food stamp card to get money. Then he asked the same thing to my mom again. Then some black guy did what the beggar wanted. Then when we left the supermarket he came up to us again with a fresh pack of cigs and asked for a dollar for food. At that point my mom was ready to punch the guy.

Yeah I did. It's just an example. If you give some change to a crackhead the only thing you're doing is feeding his addiction.

When that happens, and when it's possible, i'll see if he's bullshitting me by instead of offering my change, i offer to pay for his fare when the bus comes. Most people aren't up for that because they're full of shit and are lying to get drug money.

True. One time, this homeless guy outside of a supermarket asked my friend's mom for some change so he could get some coffee. She responded by saying that you can get free coffee inside. Then he replied: "No I don't like the flavour" ![]()

There's this one homeless person I see often when I go to/from school.
I find it a good compromise to give him a newspaper and a sandwich. I make too many sandwiches for myself anyway, and there's plenty of newspapers lying around on the train.

I was walking with a friend when this "crack head" came up to us with cum on shirt he was bald and had a babyish face. He was crying cuz he couldn't get batteries into his mp3 player. My friend then grabbed my arm and called me a moron for trying to help him. As the guy just stared at us walking away from him with a pissed look on his face with tears goin down his cheek. May not have been a crackhead, but it was sketchy part of town.

Once my friend and I was approached by a ragged looking guy right next to an atm.
He asked for some money to buy a train ticket so he could return to Ireland. He mumbled some far out history and ended every sentence with the phrase: I will pray for you, I'm Irish. I didn't give him anything, was that a mistake? Is an Irish prayer more effective than regular prayers?

happened to me a few times but i drive now and literally just drive to where i want to be.
But walking away from o2 academy when I saw Slash a few weeks a go a chav asked for 45p and I couldn't be bothered with any possible hassle so i gave him £1. I put my hand in my pocket, opened my wallet and pulled a coin out. Thought it easier than pulling it out and coin counting incase he tried to take the lot which included my parking ticket to get out the car park. I usually just give them whatever and walk away. Can't be bothered with people

I don't give change to anyone anymore. I would have told him that I did not have any change.
So many pieces of shit out here in AZ want money from me so they can pay for their shitty habits. Outside of Circle K's is notorious for that begging bullshit. One time I came out of there with a case of budlight and a homeless methhead asked me if I could give him and his friends some beer. I told him no, and walked away from him, then as soon as I opened my car door, another guy walked up to me dangerously close and asked for a beer from me. I said no again and drove off. I hate beggers with a passion. Arizona ruined that for me.

I'd have sold him some of my crack for the bus ticket I guess.
I give change to beggars all the time as long as they don't ask me for it. |
