How do you guys practice scales?

i write music or just jam with it
its hoe i deal with all my guitar practice cant tap write a song with tapping in it difficutly with triplts wrtie a heavy metal riff tripleting away oh yeah and try singing it it will help you hear the scale in your mind better if that makes any sense

Play them every way conceivable, but only til you learn the sounds of the notes then like everyone else says, just play music.

Scales have their place, but also try to use specific notes at specific time- and know why you're doing it. Dont just play random like a NASA space monkey...

Maybe I missed something since the original TS's post has been edited. But, it was a simple question and I gave a simple reply. Was I supposed to write a thesis on how to incorporate musicality into modal structures? I'm sure even professional players go back to maintenance practice with their metronome.
