i can pay upto £21.00 a month, and i live in the uk. looking for unlimited texts and i don't care about the rest
for a phone, i want something fast, good for music, simple, easy to use, and full of personalisation i text a LOT, i go on the internet to browse/read a LOT, and i listen to music quite a bit phones i'm looking at that i can afford: samsung galaxy sII htc desire x nokia lumia 800 sony xperia s bb curve 9360 (never had a bb, everybody says it sucks so it's at the bottom of the list) advice will be valued and is greatly appreciated

The top three are really the only choices you should be considering imo. The Galaxy SII is really nice but Samsung's stock keyboard is garbage and you'd have to install Swiftkey if you really wanted to not suck at life with that phone. Overall I like HTC's android interface more than Samsung's, but since you're not too worried on specs I'd say if you were to go with either of them then choose whichever one has the better battery life.
I can't offer any advice on the nokia since I've never used it. |

is the desire x good? it looks like a mini one x basically, and looks ideal, has anybody used it?
it's £21.00 a month and comes with free dre beats (which i will be selling if i get). usually phones that have a deal like that are average/poor. plus, on the back it says 'beatsaudio' which is very cringeworthy. ugh.

Are you switching provider as well? Your current provider might just be willing to give you a better offer just to keep you on with them.

I used to work part time in a phone shop till I gave it up to come back to University. The BlackBerry Curve is garbage unless you for some kind of masochistic reason really like BlackBerries. I've never been a fan of the xperia line, although some of the newer ones are, err, interesting. Stay away from the Lumia, I hold out hope that Nokias newest phones will turn their fortunes around, but the older Lumias were garbage. The HTC is a decent phone, but I ****ing hate the skinning that they do to Android. The SII has has fairly well proven itself, but the build quality on it doesn't really approach the newer models. I'd definitely go with the SII if I were you, it's a solid phone.

I know it's not on your list, but I've recently bought a Sony Xperia P, running android 4.0, and it's a pretty sexy phone all round.
the battery life is longer on the s2 than my phone, but you can get apps that make it run for days without charging (as long as you don't rape it with 3d games and stuff) I pay 21.50 a month for 2 years, got the phone for free It's definitely worth a look at |

What's your budget? You can get the new Nexus 4 unlocked for $299 for 8gb and $349 for 16gb. It'll whipe the floor with any of those phones...

S2. On o2 you can get it for £21.50 a month for 24 months, with something like 200 mins, unlimited texts, 250 mins o2 to o2 and 500mb data. And it's a brilliant phone

Lumias are terrible for music IMO.
I have the Lumia 710. Its great for everything else, but the music aspect is...less than satisfactory. The Xperia will be better for music as its a Sony, the BB will be terrible for everything ever, the HTC's are a bit hit and miss for the most part(that's just me though, personal preference and all that jazz) and the S2 is like, the perfect phone for all occasions. Like Jay said though, the stock keyboards are pants. |
