Will we only be stand-alone, or will it be added to Steam as well? Steam integration would just make it that much more convenient.

It's an FPS with 2000 player matches. I'v always been curious about how REALLY large battles would play out in an FPS environment. That's what really interests me about this game.

I enjoyed playing this game for a couple of days when it was just Indar... but it ended up feeling kind of pointless. Like, you'll work your ass off to capture a major territory, expand a bit from there, go out for a burger, come back, log back in, and you've lost it all again. War--huh--what is it good for? Shooters feel weird if you can't "win."

Also the spawn system made no god damn sense. Did they ever fix that?

Yeah, the lack of an "endgame" so to speak was kind offputting, but they've changed the capture system A LOT, as well as adding meta-game features - like holding bases gives advantages rather than just territory, controlling a continent also provides substantial bonuses.

Installed it, created character, waited in queue, then it crashed with error G22. Then it refused to start. Then it would get me to the main screen but immediately crash when I hit the start button. Then it let me in and I waited in the queue and then it immediately crashed again. Searching the error wasn't helpful at all.

My specs blow the min reqs out of the water, so...

7 gigs of my bandwidth, gone for nothin'.

Anyone having issues uninstalling the beta? Error 1001?

EDIT: I guess the fix is deleting the core Planetside 2 folder from program files and the shortcut from your desktop. Then going into control panel>uninstall programs and uninstalling. Weird.
