Covers Of Punk
So the Punk Cover threads have been numerous during the last years, but what we never had (as far as I old UGer know) are covers OF Punk Songs by non punk bands, yor task now is to name me a few.
What does not count is stuff like Angelic Upstarts - White Riot (The Clash) as it´s a punk cover of a punk song What I´m looking for is stuff like REM - Strange (Wire) get th point? I think so and beginn: Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias - Anarchy in the UK (Sex Pistols) Gary Oldman - I wanna be your dog (The Stooges) Morrissey - Trash (New York Dolls) The Hives - Numbers (The Adicts) Tom Jones - Lust for Life (Iggy Pop) Uncle Tupelo - Gimme Gimme Gimme (Black Flag) Nouvelle Vague - Too Drunk to **** (Dead Kennedys)

I don't know about The Disposable Heroes, but the other two recorded with jello biafra at some point and have recorded more than one release on Alternative Tentacles. With that being said. Richard Cheese and his jazzy coctail lounge version of Holiday in Cambodia.
