That's because of the preamp and active pick ups, isn't it? I'm not sure if those MK-II are active or passive... But if they weren't i dunno why it need two batteries... Maybe we should wait until dark Mass arrives

Bartolini MK-2 are passive IIRC.

It's the preamp that's running on 18v.
