Judgement Made By Looking at a Band's Name
So Pit..
Before you hear any music of any artist at all for the first time, have you ever made the assumption, wheather you just look at the artist's name, artwork, lyrics, style, image, etc etc, that you would either like or hate that particular artist right off the bat? Then listen to said artist just to find out your assumption was right? If so, what artists? |

The Something = indie-ish band Verb The Noun = modern metal (core) Noun that ends with -tion = death metal Two long words = prog 4 words or more = "emotional hardcore" or whatever you call it these days Name and the Plural Nouns = folk or blues

I don't judge music because of the artist's name, look or artwork, I construct my opinion of them by the music.

i really hate when people do that. im a huge music fan and love spreading the holy word which is good music. but when people like this friend i have can decide whether they like an artist before 30 seconds of music have been played... what? listen to the music before you make oyur decisions!

I've often bought albums by bands I've never heard of just by the cover, not so much the name. I have been burned many, many times, but also I have been pleasantly surprised.
I bought The Gaslight Anthem's The '59 Sound merely by the name and the cover, I had never heard of them before. Also Maylene and the Sons of Destruction their first album, and Murder by Death's in bocca il lupo.
